As we were considering the complete redevelopment of the site we had a free hand, and therefore adopted a one-way hexagonal system which provides a freely-flowing system with simple uncontrolled three-way intersections (Figure 178). To improve its efficiency and to spread the points of entry, supplementary cross-links off the primary distributor have been introduced (Figure 179).
