On the basis of this plan we calculate that the maximum permissible traffic generation in the study area could be of the order of 3.400 p.c.u. per hour. For this calculation we assumed a lane capacity of 500 vehicles per hour for the local (West End) distributor roads, and twelve poins of connection (signal controlled) between these roads and the surrounding major distributor.
