Accessibility
93We have sought for a term with which to describe the general idea of ease of access for vehicle users. We have not found a better term than accessibility, though we would have preferred a shorter word. There are two main requirements for good accessibility. First, vehicle users should be able to move from one part of a town to another—or beyond, in safety and with reasonable speed, directness, and pleasantness from the ‘driver’s’ eye view. Second, on arrival in the vicinity of his destination, the driver should be able to penetrate without delay close to his final destination and to stop there without restriction.
